Driven by a passion to help others through fitness, Science Fitness Personal Training was founded by San Diego State University Graduate Michael Jensen in the year 2001. A pioneer of the personal training studio business model,   Mike was determined to raise the standards in an industry filled with unsafe and inconsistent practices.

His business focus was simple, to deliver personalized fitness programs based on proven scientific principles guarenteed to achieve results. These programs were to be designed and delivered by only the most qualifed professionals in the industry. Trainers who hold not only a national personal training certification but also an advanced college degree and individual specialties. Progams free of gimmicks and fads, focused solely on each individual's unique needs. Private, personalized and professional to guarantee results.

These principles formed the core of Science Fitness then and still prove successful today as Science Fitness has delivered safe and effective fitness solutions enhancing the lives of thousands of individuals for over 10 years.

Science Fitness History

• 2001 - Opened it's doors in San Diego's beautiful neighborhood of Kensington
• 2003 - Science Fitness expands opening a second studio in Kensington to offer group exercise classes
• 2008 - Science Fitness Personal Training becomes a registered trademark
• 2009 - Science Fitness expands to provide nutritional coaching services welcoming Registered Dietitians to join our team of professionals
• 2010 - Science Fitness Personal Training Incorporates to become Science Fitness Personal Training, Inc. 
• 2010 - Science Fitness partners with Mueller College, UCSD & City College and begins hosting student interns, training future trainers
• 2010 - A new innovative online personal training system is launched providing clients with educational & motivational health and fitness tools online. Accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• 2011 - Science Fitness opens it's second location in Point Loma!!
• 2011 - Science Fitness celebrates it's 10 year anniversary!!
